Georgia's First Birthday Party

Since I was part of the action and kind of the hostess for Georgia's Birthday Party the week before last, I wasn't able to take many photos but our dear friend, Lisa Marie, mailed me a CD of the photos she took. She takes photos of food displays for a living and is awesome at it so I was so thankful to get these photos! If anyone else has photos from the day feel free to send them my way!

Georgia and her Nana (Chad's mom, Linda)

She LOVED her cake!

Lisa and my cousin Denny-my-man also gave Georgia a beautifully wrapped and decorated basket of all kinds of goodies!

Little mommy pushing her Baby (BAY-BEEE) in the stroller.

My mom's awesome caramel apples. Georgia's actual birthday is the first day of fall so they were so appropriate! YUM!

I may have to post a few more photos later, like her doll bed from Betsy that SHE wants to get in and the wagon from Nana the she and Jacob took a ride in, there are just so many good ones! It was a fun day!

First Christos Clean

Georgia is such a big help with the raking!

Hard at work.
A job well done!

This past Sunday (not the date on the photos...I still need to figure that out) our church plant, Christos, did a service project in our neighborhood. Chad, Jeff, Brittney, Georgia and I packed up Georgia's wagon and went door to door meeting our neighbors and offering to do their yard work. We had a few people who did not need any work done and a few who did so it was a very successful day. We were able to serve our community in a very practical way and pray for them. We look forward to the next Christos Clean!

Georgia is Walking!

This was from last week...dalayed posting due to the power outage and Georgia's party last weekend! She is getting around better and better everyday!

Georgia's First Year

I have just spent WAY too much time trying to figure out how to get these photos to post in the order I want them and still can't figure it out so I will just give them all captions...unless I can figure out how to move them around. Does anyone else have this problem posting photos?

Just a few days before we got to meet her in person!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!

She is about 8 weeks old here.

She didn't like her first "costume". Maybe this tear will be better!

Back to Christmas photos again...

Here she is 7 months. Doesn't she think she is big stuff with her cousins, Nick and Ben?!?!?!

This is Easter.

This was one of her 1st birthday photos

Happy 4th of July!

Happy First Birthday Georgia Kaye!

This is where we were one year ago today!

Today marks one year of life for our sweet daughter. Praise the Lord for all His blessings to our family this year! I will edit this post (hopefully tomorrow) with highlights from the past year and from her birthday party Saturday. If you want a sneak peek, check out my friend, Mary's, blog. She was there and has already posted photos!

Weathering the Storm

We are without power (along with 189,000 others as of this morning) but doing really well. We have lost some food but my parents have power so we were able to salvage some frozen foods by storing them in their freezer. We are so thankful for the mild weather; it has actually been kind of nice. We have a gas range so I can still cook some and my parents have been so kind to take my sister and her family in and feed us all dinner every night. The family time has been nice, although we are anxious to get our power back on and running! The Lord is good; we can see that even in the midst of hardship (however great or minor).

Daddy Daughter Giggles

Since my new camera takes video I thought I would try to capture Chad playing with Georgia and share it. He can get her to laugh so hard! Hopefully this will work. I have tried several times to post video but it never seems to work. I keep thinking I will join YouTube and see if I can share through that. We'll see. I am still learning how to work all this newer technology with the purchase of our computer with the internet and now a new camera. My friend, Betsy, talked me into joining Facebook today so I have one more thing to learn!

Busy Day

Yesterday we had our Christos Church Fellowship where the 6:00 folks and the 11:00 folks both came to the Veterans' Memorial Park in Jtown for a cook out, short presentation and just to hang out. We had a really good time; I only took a few photos though. And forgive me but I just got a new camera (thanks to Betsy) and I am still trying to learn how to work it. I need to figure out how to change the date or just take it off alltogether; the fellowship really was yesterday!

John, Larissa and Anna

On the left is Rob, Amanda, Dusty and Brittney
On the right is Erv(playing with Georgia), Chad and Jeff (Brittney's husband).

Georgia is just barely too little to enjoy the park so it basically just wore me out trying to keep her happy so this is the only photo I got of her.

Earlier yesterday, my dad and Chad powerwashed the driveway, sealed it and sealed the deck. Whew it was a big job and we were so thankful for my dad's help. I couldn't help much because I was inside with the baby. The deck still needs another coat but it looks really great already!

Then, when Chad went to pick up our newspapers (yes, Chad picks mine up and brings them home to me THEN wakes me up...I am spoiled rotten!) it was raining and storming! This morning it looked like the stain and blacktop held up pretty well though. I can't wait to get out the sidewalk chalk!

Birthday Baby

On Tuesday we had our friend, Eve, who is a photographer come and take photos of Georgia for her first birthday. We had them done a little early so I could include one in her invitations for her party and so we would have some to give out at her party. Here are a few sneak peeks. I will post more when we get the whole CD back. Eve is an awesome photographer but if you want her to photograph your family you need to act fast! She and her husband are moving to Florida in December. Check out her website for details.
Georgia's party is planned for Saturday September 20th (2 days before her actual birthday) at 2pm at my parents' house so if you can make it give me or Chad a call for directions. We would love to see you there!
